Clipper Ventures Plc is the international marine events company founded by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston in 1995. The company owns the rights to the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race and the VELUX 5 OCEANS single handed round the world race. In addition to these core events, Clipper Ventures also operates a world-class training division, Clipper Training, and a growing hospitality and events division, Clipper Events, from its base at Royal Clarence Marina in Gosport.

Clipper Ventures is a world leader in developing, operating and promoting major international marine events capable of attracting significant participation, media coverage and associated sponsorship revenue.

Clipper Ventures has retained the team from the previous race and attracted talented people from diverse sporting fields in order to improve in all areas (event management, marketing, communications, race management and sponsor relations).
