THE VELUX 5 OCEANS LAUNCHES NEW DIGITAL PROFILE
The VELUX 5 OCEANS is pleased to announce the re-launch of their website www.velux5oceans.com. The new online profile is the first phase of a three stage development process to create of a cutting edge race website to be ready in September 2010 ahead of the race start and has been developed with the new digital partner for the race, sturm@drang.
The VELUX 5 OCEANS appointed sturm@drang after an international selection process and has worked over the past 12 months on outlining a four year strategy to deliver the race to a worldwide online audience. Founded in 2000 in Augsburg, Germany sturm@drang AG is one of the leading creative-agencies focusing on marketing, consulting and communications. Being a comparatively small agency gives sturm@drang the ability to provide a highly efficient mix of flexibility, creativity and competence. Customers include national and international corporations predominantly from the construction and lifestyle industry.
The re-launched VELUX 5 OCEANS website features a new press portal for media, with images and written content, as well as an Intranet for skippers and partners, creating an online community for knowledge sharing and pooled resources. The next two phases will see the VELUX 5 OCEANS online portal and worldwide digital presence growing and breaking new ground. The race website will engage audiences via multimedia content in all languages of our skippers and diverse ways to communicate the incredible stories of The Ultimate Solo Challenge, incorporating cutting edge graphics, games, statistics, as well as diverse written, audio and video content.
