CSM HITS THE WATER ON SPARTAN AHEAD OF VELUX 5 OCEANS FINALE

CHRIS Stanmore-Major has taken to the water in Charleston a week after completing the fourth sprint of the VELUX 5 OCEANS.

The 33-year-old British solo sailor took Spartan back out into Charleston Harbour for a test sail ahead of the final leg across the North Atlantic to La Rochelle. CSM was able to put Spartan through her paces in a range of conditions out in the bay.

Back on the dock CSM said: “Spartan was actually in pretty good shape when we arrived in Charleston but it’s good to get back on the water to run through everything again before we start the final sprint. There are a few little tweaks still to do but we’re looking good for a big finale.”

Ocean sprint five starts from Charleston on May 14.
